New Patient Intro |
Inside New Patient Introduction Thank you for visiting my website. I hope that you find the information valuable in some way. While it is impossible to cover every possible combination of conditions, perhaps as you look through here you can get some insights on what may be causing your symptoms, and also get an idea about how we have successfully treated a myriad of conditions for the past 11+ years. As you can see, we are open 5 days a week. In addition, I frequently see patients by appointment before and after normal hours, as well as on weekends and holidays. To date, very few have taken advantage of that, so please don't feel you are inconveniencing us if you have needs that reach outside our normal hours. As far as my practice and philosophy, on the spectrum of chiropractic, I consider myself residing on the far end closest to traditional medicine 'mixer', versus the opposite end that considers chiropractic treatment the be-all, end-all of health care 'super-straight'. I see my purpose as first making an accurate diagnosis, then educating my patients on what is wrong with them, providing them with appropriate alternatives or referrals if necessary, and then utilizing all tools at my disposal to get them out of pain, restore stability, and then strengthen and rehabilitate them from their injuries. In addition to using only my hands to palpate and adjust, I utilize multiple physical therapy modalities as well as extensive rehabilitation based on the needs of my patients. As far as techniques, I use Diversified, Gonstead, and Thompson for the spine, and Mally Extremity techniques for the rest. I also attempt to work with many of my patient's medical doctors, provided they do not scare them away or provide them with false or inaccurate information. With my medical library of over 3,000 reviewed articles, and extensive continuing education, publishing, and speaking background, I take pride in being able to help almost every single patient better understand their condition and make better decisions, minimize flare-ups, modify their behaviors that led to their problems, and find ways to prevent their condition from returning, even if I don't treat them. The bad news is, high quality health care is not inexpensive. While I make every effort to keep my fees low, in many cases, conditions, especially ones that have been present for a long time, involve pinched nerves or herniated discs, traumatic injuries, or arthritis, cannot be fixed with 1 or 2 treatments. Don't waste your money. In my 11+ years of practice, almost every patient leaves my office feeling better than when they walked in, but the nature of most injuries means that the treatment(s) that they received will wear off. As such, most conditions will require more than 1 or 2 visits, unfortunately. I wish this wasn't true, but that is the nature of most musculoskeletal injuries. I mention this because for those that do not know me, or have not been referred to me, you can only judge a potential chiropractor based on price, or on their yellow page ad, or on location. Unfortunately, this is pretty much a crap shoot for people who are concerned only with these 'selling points'. If your only concern is price, then I don't think I am the chiropractor for you, even though my prices are extremely competitive. For those that have a problem, want to find out what it is, and properly manage it as well as do what they can to prevent it from returning, I truly believe that I have a lot to offer you. I only accept those patients whom I believe I can help. I perform regular re-examinations on my patients to determine whether or not they are improving. In those rare cases where they are not benefiting from my care, I refer them out. I have no desire to waste anyone's time, or their money. In conclusion, thank you for visiting my site. If you have any questions, please call or eMail us. If you would like to come in and sit down and just talk, I do not charge for consultations. Whatever your choice, I look forward to helping you, your family, and your friends. Yours in health, Dr. Dan |
